This article reports that Thomas Eggar has relocated more than a third of its lawyers and staff into a new Crawley base. The new office will have 70 lawyers and 70 support staff from a firmwide total of 392 staff and lawyers. Managing partner Tony Edwards said Crawley was chosen as it is a key financial center for East and West Sussex, Surrey and most of Kent. It also means one can work from one office rather than having deals spread across two, he added. The office which the firm hopes will eventually outgrow its Chichester office, which currently has 190 staff and lawyers will focus mainly on commercial property and company commercial.
