The article reports that municipal bonds finished firm yesterday, but sluggish activity suggested the market had already switched into holiday mode with just two sizeable deals priced in the primary and a few offerings picked up in the secondary. Traders said the market had a positive tone during most of the session, but bid-ask spreads were fairly wide, indicating a general disinterest in buying or selling during this holiday-shortened week. As a result, yields were little changed or a touch lower in spots.
