More consumers have complaints

The article reports that consumer dissatisfaction about furniture is rising,accounting for 6.6% of complaints to Trading Standards departments. Some 14,690 consumers reported problems in the first quarter of this year, a rise of 2.7% on 2003. Of these, 61% related to upholstery,with the largest issue being defective goods and substandard service, which made up 61% of complaint. On non upholstery,defective goods and delivery problems were also the largest concerns for shoppers. A further 1,293 consumers had issues with textiles and 2,915 floor coverings.
