The article reports that Bon-Ton Sores Inc.'s Board of Directors has approved the appointment of David Zant as vice chairman and chief merchandising officer. Zant was most recently executive vice president, general merchandize manager for the home furnishing company Belk Inc. In 2002, he was promoted to executive vice president, general merchandise manager of the companies Men's Apparel and Home Furnishings. The company officials stated that Zant's experience would provide a valuable perspective to the company's strategic direction.
