ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concept of prisoner reentry in the U.S. There are various bills proposed regarding prisoner reentry. The bills filed range from very comprehensive with significant price tags to more modest proposals. Some of these bills feature education. One bill would significantly alter provisions of the nation's adult education program by requiring states to spend a greater portion of their adult education allocations on the institutionalized population. Other bills address the eligibility of those with drug convictions for federal post secondary education benefits.
