ABSTRACT
This article reports on the fusion of the Double-Take data replication software from NSI Software and the professional services and support of Sunbelt System Software. With this move, the companies can now support Exchange 200/2003 failover, enabling businesses to extend the benefits of disaster recovery, high availability and remote availability to Microsoft Exchange. Double-Take avoids downtime by maintaining up-to-the-second copies of data that are accessible the instant an outage occurs. Sunbelt System Software will tailor this solution precisely to each user's data protection needs. The result enables local failover in the event of an outage for the protection of Exchange servers and to get rapid and complete recovery from local power failures and hardware problems. It also replicates data to a remote location for off-site recovery from complete systems failures along with remote availability for user who have had to physically remove themselves from their base because of some real-life disaster.
