We present a projection formalism which allows us to define dynamical polarizabilities of the nucleon from a multipole expansion of the nucleon Compton amplitudes. Events containing only energetic photons are analysed in a sample of 628 pb-1 of data recorded from e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies between 189 and 209 GeV by the ALEPH detector at LEP. The e+e- → ν&νmacr;γ(γ) and e+e- → γγ(γ) cross sections are...

We present Regge-model predictions for the p(λ, K+)Σ0 and n(λ, K+)Σ- differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries in the resonance region. The reaction amplitude encompasses the exchange of K+(494) and K**+(892) Regge-trajectories, introducing a mere three free parameters....

The spectral distribution of the absolute differential cross section for total bremsstrahlung, including ordinary and polarization, for the scattering of 0.6-keV electrons from free xenon atoms has been measured. The bremsstrahlung photons have been detected at an angle of 97 with respect...

Parity-violating electron scattering experiments aim to test the standard model of particle physics through precise low-energy determinations of the weak mixing angle. These experiments require determination of the polarization of the incident electron beam to the 1% level or better. An example...

In this work we present results for Compton scattering off spin 3/2 particles in NKR formalism and relate the behavior of the cross section to the electromagnetic multipole moments of the particle included by this formalism. We obtain expressions for such multipole moments using model...

A search was performed for charginos with masses close to the mass of the lightest neutralino in e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 189–209 GeV recorded by the OPAL detector at LEP. Events were selected if they had an observed high-energy photon from initial state radiation,...
