This article reports that Chronicle Books LLC has relaunched its web site to include excerpts of new titles and customer newsletters in hopes of boosting its direct-to consumer sales and promoting the Chronicle brand. About half of Chronicle's books are aimed at the adult market, while 20% are children's titles. The remaining 30% are gift and stationery products. The company has also successfully sold its adult titles in a business-to-business environment by visiting companies such as Adobe, Yahoo!, and Pixar, and selling its books directly to employees at a significant discount.
