ABSTRACT
The article informs that some companies are branching out to reclaim former devotees of breakfast cereal, as low-carbohydrates and convenience trends are showing 5 percent share declines in the cereal category in the past five years. For those who find satisfying their cereal cravings away from home inconvenient and unappealing, Boulder, Colorado-based Cereality Cereal Bar& Café is rolling out company-owned stores and a franchise system, which focus on the custom-blending and serving of familiar and proprietary cold and hot cereals. Cereality offers 33 brand-name cereals, 34 choices of toppings and an assortment of specialty milks. Customers can order two full cups of any cereals they want, a topping and milk in a leak-proof container for under$ 4.
