Consumers increased their furniture-shopping pace, and with the approaching holidays were particularly interested in the dining room category. For the October-November period, sales were up 4.1% to $138.5 million, with same-store sales increasing 1.5%. For the year's first 11 months, sales increased 5% to $705.9 million from $672.4 million for the comparable 2003 period. Same-store sales for the 11 months were up 1.7%.
