ABSTRACT
This article reports that Van Toffler, the new president of Viacom's MTV Networks Group insists he's still a teenager at heart. The state of arrested development served him well as he oversaw MTV, MTV2 and MTV Films at the company he joined in 1987. But as he takes over from his boss, Judy McGrath and adds the more adult-oriented VH1, CMT and Logo channels to his bailiwick, Toffler will also need to get in touch with his inner grownup. Falling into his role overseeing VH1, a network that caters to a taste for nostalgia, should be an easy transition for a frustrated rock guitarist and songwriter who spent his teen years listening to musicians Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.
