ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the importance of sex education in schools. Today, it seems likely that few higher education institutions believe that they need to offer courses about sex, except to those who plan to specialize in the field. The first is the way that definition of the purposes and methods of sex education, perhaps more than any other aspect of the school curriculum, was for decades a monopoly of specialists whose" progressive" views were in conflict with the views of the general public and especially of parents. The subject of sex education, perhaps more than any other aspect of the curriculum, brings people to the central issue in educational law and policy that does the school educate children on behalf of the family, or of the wider society?
