ABSTRACT
This article reports that a research team from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of the Basque Country, led by cell biologist Elena Vecino, has been awarded a grant by the American Glaucoma Foundation for its study of animal glaucoma models. The award, which totals $120,000 to be provided over 2 years, will subsidize the project "Study of neuroprotection of retinal ganglion cells in an experimental pig glaucoma model."
