ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs related to furniture industry. The European office furniture standards development programme has been completed with the publication of the last three standards for storage furniture,covering safety requirements, test methods and testing moving parts. Some eighty percent of managers think they are good employers and seventy seven percent think their staff would agree, according to a survey for recruitment firm Portfolio Payroll and law firm Peninsula. Rebecca Navarednam, joint chief executive officer, Laura Ashley has quit the company after only seventeen months in the job, citing personal reasons.
