ABSTRACT
The article reports briefly on financial matters of school districts in Texas. The Aledo Independent School District may seek an election as early as February 2005 on a two-part bond issue to fund $34.7 million in educational upgrades and between $9 million and $20 million on athletic projects. Voters rejected the district's proposed single question $45 million bond package in May, 2004. After the May defeat, the district established a facilities committee to plan and promote a revised package similar to the one that lost by 230 votes out of more than 2,000 cast.
