ABSTRACT
This article introduces two Luxeon Flash LED, designed by Lumileds Lighting for the mobile communications industry in the U.S. These product provide the light output required by the high-resolution CMOS camera modules used in camera phones. The device can also function as a flashlight, allowing mobile phones to be used as safety devices and adding another competitive advantage for cell-phone manufacturers.
