ABSTRACT
Reports that the real-time transaction reporting program of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board in the United States will start operating on January 31, 2004. Requirement for dealers to report prices and other information from municipal securities trades within 15 minutes of when trades are executed; Plan by the board to bar dealers and municipal finance professionals from soliciting anyone to make payments to a political party in a state or locality where the dealer is engaged in; Action on proposals dealing with dealer disclosure obligations and dealer responsibilities while marketing college savings plans.
