ABSTRACT
The article presents information on how parents can be supportive and make their children feel safe in their arms. Supporting one's baby's emotional development is vital to living, loving, and learning throughout life. Most babies can express basic motions fear, sadness, anger, happiness, and pleasure — to the adults who care for them. Babies are also born with the capacity for empathy — feeling tuned-in to another's emotions. A toddler may even pick up a dropped cookie and return it to soothe a crying peer.
