ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the capillary liquid separation techniques with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) detector used in elemental speciation and metalloproteomic research. The advantage of using this technique is that high separation efficiency is combined with low solvent consumption and small sample volumes. Also, the article describes the hyphenation of capillary and nano high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to ICP-MS. The hyphenation of capillary or nano HPCL to ICP-MS offers a high-sensitivity element-specific detection.
