ABSTRACT
The article reports that one of the more important roles in the publication of an article is that of being one of the reviewers for the journal. In addition to helping the scientific community function well, reviewing also has technical advantages. In order to be a capable reviewer, one must be up-to-date in the field being discussed. This often requires some checking of references and other literature. The listing of unpublished results or manuscripts that have been submitted or are in press are of extra concern, as these have not yet passed either the full scrutiny of the review process or the test of time by being known and affirmed by other researchers.
