The article presents information on a series of puzzles for readers. Although conceptually plausible, the main drawback of conceptual teaching is the rudimentary treatment of mathematics merely as a tool for numerical calculations. Proper handling of chemical facts is one of the main drawbacks in the successful understanding of chemistry.

In this paper filer-based model of sound propagation combined with a model of multimicrophone array is presented. Simple operations employed in the model such as sum and linear convolution allows one to implement it easily using numerical methods. Additionally, described solution was discussed...

In [11], we observed the behavior of real roots of the second kind Bernoulli polyno- mials. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the zeros of the second kind (h, q)-Bernoulli polynomials B(h)n, q(x) for -1 < q < 0. Furthermore, we give a table for the solutions of the second kind (h,...

  • Hydrodynamic interactions of evaporating droplet with plane liquid surface. Grashchenkov, S. I. // Colloid Journal;Jun2010, Vol. 72 Issue 3, p337

The hydrodynamic interactions between freely evaporating or growing droplet suspended in gas and the infinite plane liquid layer is theoretically studied with allowance for effects that are linear with respect to the Knudsen number. It is assumed that substances comprising droplet and liquid...

The role of the divertor in a stellarator-based fusion reactor is discussed, making emphasis on the flux-expansion concept. In this context, the possibility of having a flux-expansion divertor in TJ-II is explored. As a first step, the three-dimensional map of the particle flux has been...

An analytical realization is suggested for the finite-size scaling algorithm based on the consideration of auxiliary quasi-1 D systems. Comparison of the obtained analytical results with the results of numerical calculations indicates that the Anderson transition point splits into the band of...

We study the problem of bearing estimation in the case of coherent signal sources with the use of variational techniques for minimizing the target function defined on the basis of the lp norm. A regularization technique similar to projection onto a signal subspace of given dimension is proposed....
