This article presents on career development on networking. This sounds simplistic and even too sugar-coated. Networking is building a sense of community among scientists one knows. Unlike normal communal feelings, however, in this case one gets to choose and define who and what the community is since it is one's personal scientific network. Membership can be selective and exclusive, but very wide ranging.
