ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the 4th Mediterranean Basin Conference on Analytical Chemistry, organized by Slovenian Chemical Society, held in September 2002, in Slovenia. The scientific program presented at the conference consisted of 4 plenary lectures devoted to the most important fields of present analytical research activity, ranging from new metrological aspects of qualitative "screening" methods and certified reference materials to new on-line detectors or to the use of NMR in food science in the Mediterranean Basin.
