The article reports that a four-year licensing deal has been signed by New York City-based Disney Publishing Worldwide with London England-based Parragon Publishing. The agreement begins Jan. 1, 2006, after Disney's three-year agreement with Penguin Group expires at the end of 2005. Although Parragon is a new player in the licensed-books arena, Disney chose the publisher due to its clout in children's book market in Great Britain and its relationships with supermarket chains to help distribute the titles.
