ABSTRACT
The article reports on the California State Public Works Board's decision to issue three series of lease revenue bonds totaling over $162 million to benefit the University of California and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The bonds, structured to appeal to both retail and institutional investors, are expected to track the typical yield curve of California bonds based on the Municipal Market Date scale. Each series of bonds is secured by lease rental payments the State of California annually appropriates in its budget for use of the facilities.
