Pennsylvania Issuers to Sell $153 Million Through 10 Transactions

This article reports that Pennsylvania issuers plan to sell about $152.5 million of debt through 10 issues scheduled for this week. The deals coming to market include the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority's $54 million solid waste disposal bond sale and Philadelphia's Center City District sale of just more than $174 million business improvement assessment refunding bonds. So far this year, Pennsylvania issuers have sold 16% less debt when compared to the same period in 2003. In 2004, issuers have sold about $10.73 billion of debt through 463 issues, compared to about $12.45 billion sold through 708 issues in 2003.
