ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Empire State Manufacturing Survey revealed that New York's general business conditions index for November 2004 improved, gaining to 19.8 from an unrevised 17.4 in October 2004. Survey indexes point to continued growth in the state's manufacturing sector, although at a somewhat slower pace than earlier this year. The general business conditions index was 19.8 in November 2004, just slightly above last month's level and similar to readings since April 2004.
