ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Dahua Group and Shell Oil Co. has signed a contract on technology transfer of coal gasification units. The development program of the coal chemical industry in Henan, China, has been launched. According to the program, Dahua Group will construct a Shell coal gasification unit with a coal input of 2000 ton per day, a 400000 ton per annum methanol unit, a 180000 ton per annum formaldehyde unit, a 20000 ton per annum urea-formaldehyde resin unit, a 50000 ton per annum polyoxymethylene unit, a 50000 ton per annum dimethyl ether unit, a 30000 ton per annum dimethyl carbonate unit, a 50000 ton per annum polycarbonate unit and a 300000 ton per annum acetic acid unit.
