A reflection on the cybernetic modulation of culture based on the case of the EZLN and its multiples effects in the creation of networks and virtual worlds. The author uses the case of the Zapatista National Liberation Army to reflect on the complex of political, social and cultural situations that are present in the social space; that comprises our contemporary world. The uses, effects and presence of new technologies are thus analyzed as configurations of possible worlds. The case of the EZLN is taken as a model of a possibility for horizontal communication in modern society.
