ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Sauder Woodworking Co. which has hired industry veteran Dennis Ammons as president of its subsidiary Progressive Furniture, a case goods manufacturer and importer. Ammons most recently was president of manufacturer Sumter Cabinet Co., a division of Korn lnds. Previously, he was president of furniture components supplier Brestl and earlier held executive posts at manufacturers American Drew, Singer Furniture and American of Martinsville. At Progressive, he replaces John Wampler, who resigned this fall after five months at the company to head a new division at importer Lifestyle Furniture Enterprise.
