ABSTRACT
The article presents information on Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers. Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers, an imprint of Workman, has published "The Complete Cartoons of the New Yorker" with an initial print run of 175,000 copies. "The New Yorker" has published smaller collections of its cartoons in the past, but never engaged in a project to put all into one volume. The idea of the book/CD-ROM combo came about after Bob Mankoff, the cartoon editor at "The New Yorker" and president of cartoon-purchasing site Cartoon Bank, published "The Naked Cartoonist" through Black Dog in spring 2002.
