The article presents the update of market trends in the furniture industry. The data has been compiled following a postal survey among retailers about business in the previous months of October 2004. In the living cabinet market, 16% of retailers saw sales rise compared July 2004 and 34% saw sales rise compared to August 2003. In the bedroom cabinet market, 10% of retailers saw sales rise compared July 2004 and 39% saw sales rise compared to August 2003. In the upholstery market, 25% of retailers saw sales rise compared to July 2004 and 19% saw sales rise compared to August 2003. In the beds market, 21% of retailers saw sales rise compared to July 2004 and 37% saw sales rise compared to August 2003.
