The data presented includes global industrials underwriting volume as of October 25, 2004, the top U.S. new issues bookrunners as of October 25, 2004, top global new issues bookrunners, recent global debt deals as of October 28, 2004, recently announced global merger and acquisition deals in industrials as of October 28, 2004, the recent U.S. syndicated loans as of October 28, 2004, etc. The article also presents news related to the industrials. Indian entrepreneur Lakshmi Mittal announced a $4.5 billion takeover of Wilbur Ross's International Steel Group, creating a new company called Mittal Steel Co. that would have a market of $21 billion and would surpass Arcelor as the world's largest steel company.
