ABSTRACT
The article presents information related to the honoring of the victims, heroes and citizens who provided aid and support during and after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States. Secretary of the Navy Gordon R. England has selected names for two San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ships (LPDs), to be built by Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Inc., for the purpose. The seventh and eighth San Antonio-class LPDs will be named, respectively, USS Arlington (LPD 24) and the USS Somerset (LPD 25).
