ABSTRACT
This article reports that Heitman has bought a 90m euro office portfolio in Bratislava in Slovakia's largest ever institutional deal. The debut purchase in the country for Heitmaris Central European Property Partners II fund comprises two office buildings. Tenants at the office complex, the largest in Slovakia, include Orange Slovakia, Accenture, SAP, Whirlpool and Alcatel. Chris Merrill, managing director of Heitman's international private real estate equity group, said the company had been researching the market for around 18 months. Merrill added that unlike central European markets, Slovakia also has available product in the office, as well as retail and industrial, sector.
