Reports on significant recent developments in science. Information on the cause of cancer in the human body. Claim that much of the experimental work now being conducted centers around the production of cancer in animals by chemical compounds; History of the start of research in cancer; Experiments carried out by researcher Leo Loeb; Observation that the injection of female sex hormone into castrated male mice not only resulted in the development of female breasts, but also in cancer of these organs; Claim that recent experiments have shown that cancerous tissue contains, and hence presumably requires, a recently isolated vitamin, biotin, in quantities considerably in excess of those present in normal tissue.
