ABSTRACT

The article informs that ToolBook Assistant 2004, the latest version of SumTotal Systems' content and assessment authoring tool, is now available. The company has also announced an update to ToolBook Instructor 2004, an authoring solution for software application simulations, assessments and interactive content. ToolBook Assistant allows nontechnical business users with little programming background to create and deliver media-rich, Web site-based content. Based on a drag-and-drop authoring model, it includes a variety of testing and assessment options, wizards and ready-made templates. The 2004 model enables easier content creation with more feedback and instruction options and increased authoring speed. ToolBook supports SCORM and AICC standards, and provides integration with the Total LMS, as well as Aspen, Docent and other standards-based learning management systems.
