The article presets information on mentoring benefits. Whether to improve specific skills or pursue a career goal, mentoring offers a unique opportunity to benefit from someone else's experience. Mentoring has been hugely popular in the U.S. and on the continent for some time, but has only just found glory here, becoming a buzz word in IT training during 2004. Mentoring is, however, nothing new. The discipline dates back to France in 1689, when the Archbishop of Cambrai was appointed mentor to Louis, the Duke of Burgundy.
