ABSTRACT
This article reports that the top 25 leading convenience wholesalers reached sales of $39.8 billion in the past fiscal year, according to the latest survey conducted by Convenience Store News. This figure represents an increase of 5.3 percent, an improvement over the relatively flat results reported in last year's survey. There was a fair amount of stability among the list, as seven of the top 10 maintained rankings identical to those reported last year. McLane Grocery Distribution Inc. remains the largest convenience distributor by far — its sales of $18.7 billion accounted for more than half of the combined sales of the Top 10 companies.
