ABSTRACT
The article focuses on various financial developments in different states of the United States. Chicago has decided to privatize the Chicago Skyway tollroad and use much of the $1.82 billion cash windfall from the transaction to reduce debt and boost reserves. In an another development Moody's Investors Service In. upgraded to A3 from Baal $65 million of outstanding bonds for the Michigan South Central Power Agency. The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners approved a settlement agreement that will bring in about $14.3 million to recoup cost overruns for the county at bond-funded Paul Brown Stadium, where the National Football League's Cincinnati Bengals play.
