The article focuses on the plans of newly appointed chief executive officer of Sure Fit Inc. Salo Grosfeld to take the company in new directions, such as expanding into decorative pillows, throws and window, while discontinuing bedding. Grosfeld maintained that Sure Fit would continue to innovate and spend money on additional patents in the future. Grosfeld said that newer slipcover competitors are still trying to figure out the business and are not as much about product, but price and hoped that retailers recognize the valve and innovation they brought to the table, but realize there may be some short-term losses.
