ABSTRACT
The article focuses on software driven data models designed to predict the future. For ratings agencies, it's likely about determining how much loss damage a particular bond issue can take before it tanks. Throughout the financial industry these models are increasing in technology and usage, naturally enough, given, how much of the business is about number crunching. Firms are taking steps to improve results that have at times been mixed. People invested huge amounts of money and staff time in trying to take technology and solve their marketing and customer-relationship problems.
