ABSTRACT
Harold Wilson has been a leader of the Labor Party in Great Britain. In 1964, he may well become the first Socialist Prime Minister in 13 years. Around his aims and methods, and in particular his expressed belief in the possibility of a new society created by technological and political change, have gathered much speculation and comment. This article discusses the unlikelihood of Wilson to be hasty in making innovations in either domestic or foreign policies. The author examines Wilson's motives and possible choices on policies that could potentially affect international stability.
