ABSTRACT
Presents a vision of the future with new products derived from new science. Change in architecture for improved housing facilities; Design of houses based on the habits, personality and possessions of the individuals living in them; Recommendations for using radiant heating for houses; Prediction that the house of the future will be built from standardized, mass-produced parts, assembled in any shape and size that the prospective owner and the architect desire; Role of Lucite in bringing about a revolution in designing houses; Information on the importance of a water-resistant substance called pliofilm; Cities of the future will be planned by governmental authority to make certain that every inhabitant has plenty of light and air, easy transportation, parks and other recreational facilities; Plan for decentralized cities; Construction of more elevated automobile highways and tunnels; Prediction of increase in health and vigor; Innovations in dental science which claims of abolishing tooth decay through a diet rich in fats, vitamins A, C and D and low in carbohydrates; Development of germicidal lamps to keep diseases like influenza and common cold in check; Role of scientists in solving social problems.
