ABSTRACT
This article reports that the big four are underwriting the cost of the initial development of an industrywide website to comply with upcoming security requirements. The requirements — part of the Advanced Passenger Information System Plus — mean visitors to certain countries will have to input details on the website about themselves and their stay before they depart. The regulations will require airlines to send out details such as where a passenger is staying on the first night of their visit, their place of birth and their home address 72 hours before departure.
