ABSTRACT
Focuses on war production in the U.S. during the war-time. Statement that small committees of farmers and factory managers and workers began to meet together to turn Production, Now! from a slogan into an actuality; Opinion of expert observers that the present priorities system has now outlived its usefulness and should be replaced immediately by an allocations plan for scarce materials, industry by industry rather than plant by plant; Information that as war production expands, chemical shortages become more apparent and the effect more serious.
