ABSTRACT
The article presents a statistical report on the status of growth and development of the global healthcare companies throughout the world. Chiron, a biopharmaceutical company based in California, said it would not sell flu vaccine for the coming influenza season. George Soros led a syndicate of private and venture investors to raise $14 million in equity financing for LabNow, a developer of diagnostic systems. The Austin, Texas based company, which also had participation from Austin Ventures, will use the money to develop and launch Its initial product, CD4Now, used in monitoring treatment of HIV/AIDS patients.
