ABSTRACT
The article presents information on development of muscle control and problem solving abilities in toddlers. We are born with reflexes which are the basis for developing muscle control. Toddlers use their senses to find out what things can do and what they can do to things. After 18 months, a toddler begins to remember experiences and make plans. A 20-month-old watches his mother use the edge of a table to pry apart nesting cups. Toddlers learn how to solve problems by imitating you, so be sure to talk through the simple problems you face each day.
