Liverpool expands its online learning

The article reports that the University of Liverpool is extending the range of e-learning courses it offers, following the success of its online MBA and MSc. in information technology (IT) programmes. Liverpool has signed a ten-year deal with Sylvan Learning Systems Inc. The U.S.-based education provider bought the university's original e-learning partner, the Netherlands-based KIT e-Learning, in April. Sylvan is keen to move into the global market for online higher education. Eli Zybert, the CEO of Sylvan said that together with the University of Liverpool they will significantly expand their offerings and introduce new programmes, delivering online post-graduate degrees in management, healthcare and IT.
