ABSTRACT
The article reports that Gaming group Gala is teaching around 300 staff to use Microsoft's Windows 2000 operating system as part of a rollout of the platform across its casinos. Colin Morgan, the information technology (IT) training manager at Gala Games, said that they are going to be rolling out a number of new casino systems and they depend on a window platform. They don't have that currently and therefore they are migrating across. About ten staff in each of the company's casinos will need to be taught to use the operating system. Gala is working with training provider Learn IT on the project. Trainers from both companies will visit casinos on the day when the new operating system is being installed. They will then run eight-hour training sessions, beginning two hours before opening, to make sure that staff know how to use the new system.
